What kind of lamp fuel should I use?

There are lots of options, but we prefer an ultra clean burning, indoor lamp oil that you can buy at your local hardware store. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe use!
How long does a Rocklight oil lamp last for?

With proper care, it can virtually last forever! The reservoir can be refilled with lamp fuel, and the wick is fibreglass, so it doesn’t actually burn. Instead, it acts as a vehicle to draw the fuel up, and it’s the fuel that burns. You shouldn’t ever have to replace the wick, unless you switch between different types of lamp oil.
Can you add essential oil to the lamp oil?

Yes! Just add a few drops of your favourite essential oil to your lamp oil before filling the reservoir.
Can the Rocklights be used outdoors on a patio?

They can be, yes, as long as it’s away from drafts and wind and is not placed near anything flammable. You’ll also want to ensure it’s covered (or brought inside) in the event of rain. If water gets inside the lamp reservoir, it will not burn properly.
Are Rocklight oil lamps safe to use?

Yes, they are safe to use provided instructions on the warning labels are strictly followed. Just like a candle, you should place on a stable surface away from flammable objects. You should never leave a burning oil lamp unattended, and should ALWAYS keep out of reach of children and pets (even when not burning).
